Job summary

Bright Horizons Coulsdon Day Nursery and Preschool is seeking an Early Years Practitioner for a lunch-cover role (11:30–14:30, Monday–Friday) at our Coulsdon nursery. You will plan and deliver engaging activities, support development toward EYFS milestones, and foster a safe, inclusive learning environment.

The role requires a Level 2+ Early Years qualification, a passion for learning, safeguarding knowledge, and strong partnerships with parents and staff.

Qualifications

• Full and relevant Level 2 or above Early Years qualification.
• Passion for creating fun and inclusive learning environments.
• Strong understanding of the EYFS and safeguarding.

Responsibilities

• Plan, create, implement and reflect on engaging activities for key children to support development toward milestones.
• Create a safe environment that encourages expression and a love of learning.
• Support continual development and positive partnerships with parents and colleagues.

We’re looking for an Early Years Practitioner to join our Coulsdon Nursery, situated near Coulsdon Town Centre and Coulsdon South train station. This is a lunch cover position working 11:30-14:30, Monday-Friday.

This nursery offers on-site parking, a large garden and a long standing, passionate staff team.

The Role

As an Early Years Practitioner, you will plan, create, implement and reflect on engaging activities, tailored to each of your key children, to encourage their development towards key milestones. You will create a safe environment that allows children the freedom to express themselves, engage their minds, and help to foster a lifelong love of learning.

What we’re looking for

• Full and relevant Level 2 or above Early Years qualification
• Passion for creating fun and inclusive learning environments
• Strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
• Strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection
• Ability to develop trust and strong working partnerships with both colleagues and parents/ carers
