Nursery: Bright Horizons Muswell Hill Day Nursery and Preschool

Salary: Starting from £27,231.95 per annum (Full-time equivalent - Pro-rata) (dependent on qualification/s and experience)

Location: Muswell Hill, London

For this position, we are offering a Welcome Bonus of £2000 (T&C’s apply)

We are looking for a Level 2/3 qualified practitioner to join our Bright Horizons Muswell Hill Day Nursery and Preschool, situated in Muswell Hill. The nursery has great transport links, being a 15-minute walk from Alexandra Palace and Bowes Park Stations as well as Bounds Green Underground. This role is for 20 hours, for a lunch cover role.

The fantastic 90-place setting, proudly rated 'Good' by Ofsted, has a lovely homely feel and benefits from spacious rooms with plenty of natural resources.

What you’ll be doing

  • Plan, create, implement and reflect on engaging activities, tailored to each of your key children, to encourage their development towards key milestones.
  • Develop and maintain strong parent/carer partnerships
  • Promote and ensure child welfare, protection, health and safety and safeguarding
  • Work with colleagues to maintain a positive, happy and safe environment

What we’re looking for

  • Full and Relevant Level 2/3 or above Early Years qualification (essential)
  • Previous experience working with children (ideally as a Nursery Nurse, Nursery Practitioner, Early Years Educator, or similar)
  • Passion for making learning fun and engaging for each child
  • Ability to build trust and strong working relationships with both colleagues and parents
  • Ability to use a variety of communication techniques with both children and adults
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding, Child Protection, and the wider legislative requirements for working with children
