South Ayrshire Council is seeking an Early Years team member to support high quality learning and childcare for young children and their families. The role requires adherence to council policies, safe practices, and clear communication.

You will work as part of a frontline Early Years team with PVG scheme requirements. This temporary post runs through 11 August 2027, with interviews scheduled for 21 August 2026.

Qualifications

• PVG Scheme requirement for working with children/protected adults
• Regulated Work with PVG status as per Scotland PVG Act 2007
• Willingness to adhere to council policies and safe practices

Responsibilities

• Assist in delivery of flexible, high-quality learning and childcare for young children and families
• Monitor and evaluate practices to support service improvement
• Communicate information clearly in writing and verbally to users and colleagues
