Job summary

St Michael’s Prep School in Kent, UK is seeking an Early Years Practitioner to join our Pre-Prep team, supporting the Kindergarten and caring for children and their families with warmth and professionalism.

You will develop a nurturing play-based curriculum, act as a Key Person, maintain records, and uphold safeguarding, GDPR and the school ethos while working full-time. The role requires Level 3 EY qualification, DBS update service eligibility and an ability to work in the UK.

Qualifications

• Strong literacy and numeracy skills with GCSE grade 4 or above in English and Maths.
• Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification or equivalent.
• First Aid/Paediatric First Aid certification is preferred.
• Food Hygiene Level 1 qualification is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to planning, implementing and evaluating a play/care curriculum for Pre-Prep.
• Prepare materials to support children's learning and act as a Key Person for a group.
• Maintain accurate records and progress updates, including safeguarding notes and GDPR.
• Attend relevant training and support positive behaviour and inclusive practice.
