Luma Education Recruitment is seeking a Level 3 Early Years Practitioner for a Leicester toddler room on a permanent contract.

The role is term-time, 8:00am–4:00pm (potential to extend to 5:00pm). Pay is £15 per hour pro rata. CPD is encouraged and there is a staff discount on childcare for your own children.

Qualificações

• Full and relevant Level 3 Early Years or Childcare qualification.
• Experience in a nursery, ideally with toddlers.
• Good knowledge of the EYFS and observation and learning journals.
• Experience leading a room or readiness to take on that responsibility.
• Paediatric First Aid is desirable.

Responsabilidades

• Head up the toddler room and manage its daily routine and staff.
• Plan activities covering the seven areas of learning in EYFS.
• Observe and assess children and update learning journals.
• Support children's care needs including meals, nappies, toileting and sleep.
• Keep parents informed at drop-off and collection.
• Follow safeguarding, hygiene and health and safety procedures.

Early Years Practitioner Level 3 – Leicester (LE3)

Pay: £15 per hour (pro rata, term time)

Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm, term time only

Contract: Permanent (6-month probation with a 3-month review)

An independent day nursery in Leicester (LE3) is looking for a Level 3 Early Years Practitioner to take charge of its toddler room on a permanent contract. Your days will be spent with children aged roughly one to three: setting up the room, planning EYFS activities, observing your key children and keeping parents informed. The nursery runs Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:00pm, during term time only, and hopes to extend to 5:00pm as more families join. Pay is £15 per hour pro rata, CPD is encouraged, and there is a staff discount on childcare for your own children.

The Nursery

A term-time nursery in west Leicester caring for babies, toddlers and pre-school children. It is a growing setting that invests in training for its staff.

Your Duties

• Heading up the toddler room and organising its daily routine and staff
• Planning activities that cover the seven areas of learning in the EYFS
• Observing, assessing and updating learning journals for your key children
• Looking after children's care needs, including meals, nappies, toileting and sleep
• Keeping parents up to date at drop-off and collection
• Following the nursery's safeguarding, hygiene and health and safety procedures

What You'll Need

• A full and relevant Level 3 qualification in Early Years or Childcare (essential)
• Experience working in a nursery, ideally with toddlers
• Good knowledge of the EYFS and observation and assessment
• Experience leading a room, or ready to take on that responsibility
• Paediatric First Aid (welcome but not essential)
