Job summary

Spring Nurseries by Action for Children is seeking an Early Years Practitioner (qualified level 3) in Rowlands Gill, Gateshead. This permanent, full-time role (40 hours per week) offers a salary up to £27,000 per annum and supports children aged 0-5 in a safe, nurturing nursery environment.

You will plan engaging activities, build positive relationships with children and families, and observe development using EYFS guidelines to ensure each child thrives.

Let’s talk about you

You’ll be a qualified Level 3 early years practitioner who is passionate about helping young children to learn, develop and feel confident. You'll understand the needs of children aged 0-5, be confident working within the EYFS, and bring a caring inclusive approach to supporting every child.

• A Level 3 Early Years and Childcare qualification (NNEB, CACHE, NVQ Level 2 or 3 or equivalent)
• Knowledge and understanding of children's development from 0-5 years and how this informs your practice
• Experience of planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate activities that meet individual needs and developmental stages.
• An understanding of the EYFS and how to support children's learning and development through play.
• An awareness of SEND and how to provide inclusive support within an early year’s setting.

Spring Highfield is a welcoming and nurturing nursery, open for 51 weeks of the year from 07.30-18.00, offering flexible sessions to meet the needs of local families. With beautiful outdoor spaces, strong links with local schools and a supportive team. You’ll be part of an environment where children are encouraged to explore, build confidence and develop through engaging experiences every day.
