Job summary

Upland’s Little Explorers, part of Upland Primary School, seeks a Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years Practitioner to join a brand-new term-time preschool opening in September 2025. The role is 27.5 hours per week, 9am–3pm, Monday–Friday, 38 weeks per year, with a focus on nurturing curiosity and learning through play.

Qualifications

• Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years Practitioner qualification required.
• Experience of working with young children.
• Good communication with children and adults.

Responsibilities

• Provide consistent, responsive care to very young children.
• Undertake personal care tasks as required.
• Contribute to a high‑quality learning environment.
• Liaise with parents and carers about child progress.
• Support daily routines including mealtimes and transitions.
• Ensure safeguarding and health and safety policies are followed.

Contract Hours: 27.5 hours per week 9am-3pm Monday-Friday with 1/2 hour lunch (term time only)
Working Weeks: 38 weeks per year
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 15:00
Grade: BEX04 NJC 4
Actual Salary: £18,582 Actual (£29,025 FTE)
Position Start Date: As soon as possible

Upland’s Little Explorers, a brand-new term-time only preschool that opened in September 2025, is seeking to recruitment a Level 2 OR Level 3 Early Years Practitioner to join the team.
