Job Title: Level 2 Early Years Practitioner

Salary: Up to £27,426.10 per annum (dependent on qualifications and experience)

Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent (42.5 hrs) – Part-time options considered

Location: Cemetery Pales, Pirbright, GU24 0JT

Cherrywood nursery is a modern open plan nursery set in the beautiful village of Pirbright; we have excellent inside facilities, including a sensory room and soft play. Outside we have spacious gardens for all our age groups, with a vegetable patch and sensory garden and an outdoor learning area. The nursery benefits from having an outdoor classroom which includes a soft play area & a sensory area. The secure outdoor play area also includes a climbing frame to promote gross motor skills & a gardening patch. Inside the building, there are five age-specific rooms, resources appropriate for each age group, a sleep room for younger children & changing/toileting facilities. There is an on-site kitchen with two caterers providing homemade meals each day for the children.

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure the individual needs of each child are met, providing a high standard of care and education in a safe, secure, and supportive environment where children can play, learn, and develop.
Observe, assess, and plan stimulating, challenging, and age-appropriate activities that support each child's learning and development.
Work effectively as a professional team member, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to develop new skills.
Adhere to company policies and procedures, ensuring they are followed and reviewed regularly.
Follow risk assessments and promptly report any health and safety issues to management.
Support the physical, intellectual, social, and emotional development of children through engaging and thoughtful care.
Requirements and Skills:

Full and relevant Level 2 or Level 3 childcare qualification (essential).
Fluent in written and spoken English (essential).
A minimum of 1 year’s experience in Early Years (desirable).
Knowledge of the Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and regulatory requirements (desirable).
