Job summary

St Michael’s Prep School in Kent is seeking a Level 3 Early Years Practitioner for our Pre-School team on a full-time basis. The role focuses on supporting 3- to 4-year-olds with a warm, encouraging approach, building relationships and managing day-to-day Kindergarten activities.

The post requires safeguarding awareness, ability to work in a team, and a commitment to high-quality care. Salary is commensurate with experience; DBS checks are part of the selection process.

Qualifications

• Experience working with Early Years children.
• Strong literacy and numeracy skills per GCSE requirement.
• Ability to work well in a team and follow school policies.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to development, planning, implementation and evaluation of play/care curriculum.
• Prepare materials to support children’s learning.
• Act as Key Person for a specific group of children.
• Maintain accurate records on the children in your care.
• Develop resources appropriate to children’s ages and stages of development.
• Attend training and support equal opportunities for all children and staff.
• Support promotion of positive behaviour and pupil learning.
