Job summary

Aspire People are recruiting a Nursery Practitioner for Harborne, Birmingham. You will join a dedicated team delivering high-quality early years care, education and development for children aged 0-5, in line with EYFS.

We welcome Level 2 or Level 3 qualified practitioners, with a genuine passion for young children. Flexible full-time and part-time roles are available across multiple nursery settings, with supportive ongoing guidance from Aspire People.

Qualifications

• Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years/Childcare - essential.
• Paediatric First Aid - desirable.
• Previous experience in a nursery or Early Years setting.
• Good knowledge of the EYFS framework.
• Genuine passion for working with young children.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

THE ROLE

As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play an important role in providing high-quality care, education and support to children aged 0-5 years.

You will work as part of a dedicated team to create a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment where children can learn, develop and reach their full potential.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support the learning, development and wellbeing of children aged 0-5 in line with the EYFS framework.
• Provide high-quality care and support to children in a safe and nurturing environment.
• Create engaging, stimulating and age-appropriate learning experiences.
• Plan and participate in activities that support children's social, emotional, physical and cognitive development.
• Recognise and respond to each child's individual needs, interests and stage of development.
• Encourage children's confidence, independence, communication and social skills.
• Assist with planning and delivering activities that promote learning and development.
• Build positive and professional relationships with children, colleagues, parents and carers.
• Follow safeguarding procedures and promote the welfare of all children.
