Nursery Practitioners

Our Nursery Practitioners are vital in ensuring the smooth running of the nursery and providing the highest standards of physical, social, emotional, and intellectual care for all children at the facility. They ensure that the care and education delivered meet legislative requirements of Ofsted and the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). In this role, you will act as a key worker for a small group of children and work in partnership with parents and carers, encouraging their participation in their child's development.

You will actively participate in the daily operations and organization of the nursery within established policies and procedures, providing a safe, caring, and stimulating environment. You will promote good relationships between parents and staff within the group. The working pattern for this role is Monday to Friday, either full or part-time, with a longer day on Thursdays for staff meetings.

About you

Applicants should ideally hold a NNEB or NVQ Level 3 in Early Years and Education or equivalent, with strong experience in baby care within a nursery environment. Those with Level 2 qualifications or equivalent and ample experience may also be considered. Experience working with SEN children as a Teaching Assistant or SEN Assistant is beneficial. Candidates should have a proactive, imaginative, and practical approach to planning and delivering early years curriculum, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to providing high-quality service to parents and carers. Experience with Forest School and knowledge of the Reggio Emilia approach are desirable but not essential.
