Job summary

Kindred Nurseries is seeking an Early Years practitioner to support a Room Leader, deliver high standards of care and education, and promote safeguarding and wellbeing. You will plan activities, observe progress, and build strong relationships with children and families.

The role emphasizes teamwork, a positive attitude, and ongoing professional development within a nurturing, inclusive nursery environment.

Qualifications

• Full and relevant Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification.

Responsibilities

Create a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment where children can learn through play. Support the Room Leader in delivering the highest standards of Early Years care and education. Plan and deliver engaging activities that encourage curiosity, creativity and development. Build positive relationships with your Key Children, observing and recording their learning and achievements. Support children's individual learning journeys, celebrating their progress and helping them reach their full potential. Communicate effectively with parents and carers through our Satchel app, face-to-face conversations and written observations. Maintain accurate records and ensure Kindred's policies and procedures are consistently followed. Work collaboratively with colleagues to create an inclusive, welcoming nursery environment. Promote safeguarding, health and safety, and children's wellbeing at all times.

What You'll Need

• Essential: A full and relevant Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification. A good understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). A commitment to ongoing professional development. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. A positive, proactive attitude and a genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development.
• Desirable: Previous experience working within an Early Years setting. Current Paediatric First Aid Certificate. Safeguarding and Child Protection training (full training will be provided). Current Food Hygiene Certificate.
