CACHE Level 3 Early Years Practitioner

Location: Barking & Dagenham
Role: CACHE Level 3 Early Years Practitioner (School-Based)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract: supply (term time only, school hours)
Salary: 90 - 100 per day (depending on experience)

Tradewind Recruitment are working with a welcoming and inclusive primary schools in Barking and Dagenham who need Early Years Practitioners for short term and long term supply. This is an ideal role for someone looking to move from nursery or private childcare into a structured, school-based setting and is looking for flexible work.

Job Responsibilities:

As an Early Years Practitioner in a primary school setting, your role will include:

  • Supporting children's development through play-based learning in line with the EYFS framework
  • Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to provide tailored support for children with additional needs, including ASD and speech & language difficulties
  • Assisting with phonics, early numeracy, and social development
  • Creating a nurturing, inclusive, and engaging environment that supports all children's individual needs
  • Observing and recording children's progress, identifying areas where additional support may be required
  • Working collaboratively with parents, carers, and outside professionals to support children's learning

What We're Looking For:

  • CACHE Level 3 qualification in Early Years or equivalent
  • Experience working in nursery or EYFS settings (private or school-based)
  • A strong understanding of child development and the EYFS curriculum
  • SEN experience is highly desirable, particularly supporting children with ASD and speech & language needs
  • A positive and proactive approach to supporting children's learning

Compliance Requirements:

  • Recognised CACHE Level 3 qualification
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply)
  • Right to work in the UK
  • 2 recent professional references
  • Overseas police check (if applicable)
