Job summary

The Side by Side Partnership Limited is seeking an apprentice Early Years Practitioner to join Little Pippins Nursery at Perrott Hill, near Crewkerne. You will work alongside qualified practitioners while training with Side by Side.

You will plan play-based activities in line with the EYFS, support children’s learning and wellbeing, and help with daily routines under close supervision from experienced teachers.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
• Willingness to train and work with Side by Side Partnerships.
• Ability to support learning, wellbeing and personal care in a nursery setting.
• Commitment to safeguarding and health & safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver play-based activities in line with the EYFS, indoors and outdoors, including Forest School.
• Support children’s learning, wellbeing and personal care; observe and record progress.
• Support snack and lunch times, hygiene routines and the environment; communicate with parents.
• Follow safeguarding, health and safety and confidentiality requirements at all times.

Perrott Hill is an independent day and boarding prep school near Crewkerne. We are looking for a warm and enthusiastic apprentice Early Years Practitioner to join our small, experienced team at Little Pippins Nursery who will work alongside qualified practitioners and experienced teachers every day while training with Side by Side.
