Job summary

Bright Horizons Eddington Nursery is seeking an Early Years Practitioner in Cambridge to plan and implement engaging activities for children, while fostering a safe, supportive learning environment. You will reflect on practice, ensuring each child advances towards developmental milestones with a caring team.

The role requires Level 2/3+ Early Years qualifications, a passion for inclusive learning, and strong safeguarding awareness within a collaborative setting.

Qualifications

• Full and relevant Level 2/3 or above Early Years qualification.
• Strong understanding of the EYFS framework.
• Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection requirements.

Salary – Starting from £31,158.40 per annum

Bright Horizons Eddington Nursery are looking for an Early Years Practitioner to join their team. The nursery is located in an award-winning, sustainable housing estate with excellent links to Cambridge town centre by bus, car, and bike. The nursery offers a fantastic opportunity to join a professionally strong and culturally diverse team with a great passion for Early Years and Education.

We provide a staff room with kitchen facilities for relaxation, as well as a separate lounge for enjoying lunch and socializing. Toiletries and treats are also stocked for our staff. Additionally, free parking is available.

The Role

As an Early Years Practitioner, you will plan, create, implement and reflect on engaging activities, tailored to each of your key children, to encourage their development towards key milestones. You will create a safe environment that allows children the freedom to express themselves, engage their minds, and help to foster a lifelong love of learning.

What We’re Looking For

• Full and relevant Level 2/3 or above Early Years qualification
• Passion for creating fun and inclusive learning environments
• Strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
• Strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection
• Ability to develop trust and strong working partnerships with both colleagues and parents/ carers
