A children's service organization in Westhill is seeking a committed individual for a role in Early Learning and Childcare. The successful candidate will work within a team to contribute to the care and education of children and must obtain necessary registrations. Qualifications

Job description

Act as a member of Early Learning and Childcare team, with full involvement in the work of the Early Level curriculum, and where appropriate the pre-Birth to Three Framework, helping to contribute to the care and education of children.

There is a responsibility for the post holder to demonstrate a commitment to quality service delivery through continuous improvement for the benefit of the Service and the organisation.

The successful candidate will be employed on a 45.04 weeks per year contract. Fixed term for a period not exceeding 02/07/2026, Working pattern will be 5 days 7.45am to 3.30pm.

This is a Children's Service Network (CSN) post. Initially you will be based at Westhill Primary School Nursery, but you may be required to work elsewhere within the Westhill CSN.

Requirements

This post has a minimum requirement of two references, one of which must be your current or most recent employer.

This post is regulated work with Children and/or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. A confirmed offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.

This post will require you to have obtained SSSC registration within 3 months of employment.
