Job summary

Bright Horizons Mount Vernon Day Nursery in Northwood, HA6, is seeking an Early Years Practitioner. You will plan, create, implement and reflect on engaging activities tailored to each child to support development from 3 months to 5 years.

The nursery accommodates up to 124 children across two buildings on the Mount Vernon Hospital site. A Level 3+ Early Years qualification, a passion for inclusive learning, and safeguarding knowledge are required; benefits include a 50% childcare discount,

Qualifications

• Full and relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification.
• Passion for creating fun and inclusive learning environments.
• Strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
• Strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection.

Responsibilities

• Plan, create, implement and reflect on engaging activities tailored to each of your key children to encourage development towards key milestones.
• Create a safe environment that allows children to express themselves, engage their minds and foster a lifelong love of learning.
• Collaborate with colleagues and parents to support each child’s progress.

Salary – £29,972.80 - £31,158.40per annum (dependent on qualification/s and experience)

Hours - 40 Hours Per Week | Mon-Fri | Permanent

We’re looking for an Early Years Practitioner to join our Mount Vernon Day Nursery! Our Mount Vernon Day Nursery is based on the Mount Vernon Hospital site and is split across two buildings. The nursery caters to up to 124 children supporting from ages 3 months up to 5 years. The nursery consists of bright and airy rooms full of resources for the children to enjoy and a large outdoor garden area with covered picnic area.

The Role

As an Early Years Practitioner, you will plan, create, implement and reflect on engaging activities, tailored to each of your key children, to encourage their development towards key milestones. You will create a safe environment that allows children the freedom to express themselves, engage their minds, and help to foster a lifelong love of learning.

What we’re looking for

• Full and relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification

• Strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
• Strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection
• Ability to develop trust and strong working partnerships with both colleagues and parents/ carers
