Holy Cross Preparatory School is seeking an Early Years Practitioner to join Little Sparks Pre-School. The role is part-time across 27.5 hours per week, 52 weeks per year, with morning and afternoon shifts.

Salary ranges from £24,000 to £25,500 per annum, dependent on experience and FTE considerations of £35K+. Launched as a nursery extension of the Catholic prep school, Little Sparks serves children aged 2-5 and will expand to include boys and girls from January 2027.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children aged 2-5 in an early years setting.
• Familiarity with the EYFS framework.
• Strong literacy, numeracy and ICT skills are expected.
• Flexible, reliable and able to work well in a team.

Responsabilités

• Support and supervise children in Early Years activities to promote learning and development.
• Deliver nurturing, child-centred care and facilitate play-based learning.
• Collaborate with staff to implement the nursery’s curriculum and routines.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive and stimulating environment for young children.

This is a full-year role working across all 52 weeks, with holiday entitlement taken during school terms apart from 1 week at Christmas and 2 weeks during the summer.

Key Requirements:

• Experience working with children aged 2-5 years in an early years setting.
• Knowledge of theEarly Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)framework.
• A recognised full and relevant Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education.
• Excellent literacy, numeracy and ICT skills.
• Flexible, reliable and able to work effectively as part of a team.
