Job description

We are seeking a caring and enthusiastic Early Years Practitioner to join a nurturing Nursery. You will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care and education to children. Working closely with colleagues, parents, and carers, you will help create a positive and engaging atmosphere for young learners. This role begins September 2025.

Duties as an Early Years Practitioner:

Provide a safe, secure, and supportive environment for children.

Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities in line with the EYFS framework.

Support children's learning and development through play.

Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records.

Promote positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.

Ensure health, hygiene, and safety standards are met.

Assist with mealtimes, nappy changing, and toileting as required.

Uphold safeguarding policies and procedures at all times.

Ideal Early Years Practitioner:

Level 2 or 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years Education (or equivalent).

Experience working with children in a nursery or early years setting.

Knowledge of the EYFS framework and child development.

A caring, patient, and enthusiastic approach.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills as an Early Years Practitioner.

A valid DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
