Martlesham Preschool is seeking an Early Years Practitioner to join our team, caring for children aged 2-5 years and helping run daily preschool activities.

You will support day-to-day tasks, promote children’s independence, and create a nurturing learning environment in collaboration with staff and parents. The role requires a Level 3 EYFS qualification and a proactive, team-oriented approach.

Qualifications

• Minimum level 3 Early years qualification (full and relevant).
• Experience in childcare setting, working with children and parents, or during training.
• Able to work as part of a team and use initiative.
• Flexibility to cover sessions at short notice.
• Willing to attend training if needed.
• Positive attitude and good communication skills.
• Understanding of EYFS, Ofsted, and safeguarding.

Martlesham Preschool are seeking a Early Years Practitioner to work as part of the team to offer exceptional care and learning opportunities to children aged 2-5 years and ensure the smooth running of the day to day elements of preschool.

What will the job entail?

Your responsibilities

You will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day activities within preschool and supporting children’s independence throughout their day in the setting whilst providing them with exemplary care through a safe environment where they can thrive.

You will help children learn and develop through their play and be responsible for key children and supporting them and their families throughout their time at preschool.

What you will need:

• Minimum level 3 Early years qualification. (Must be a full and relevant qualification)
• Experience of working within a childcare setting, of working directly with children and parents, or experience whilst training.
• Be able to work as part of a team and use initiative.
• Offer flexibility in your availability, to cover sessions at short notice.
• Be willing to attend training if needed.
• Have a positive attitude and good communication skills.
• Understanding of the EYFS framework, Ofsted, and Safeguarding.
• The ability to help provide a nurturing learning environment, working with other staff and parents for best outcomes.

About us

We are a small, friendly, committee run preschool located within Martlesham for children aged 2-5yrs, open term time, between the hours of 8am-4pm Monday to Friday. We also offer some holiday club dates throughout the year; it would be desirable if you were able to support some of these dates too.

Due to the preschool continuing to grow, we are looking for an Early Years Practitioner to join our small team.

Our most recent Ofsted was outstanding, and we pride ourselves on the experiences we offer to the children and their families. As well as our dedication to supporting staffs continuing development.
