Job Title: Early Years Practitioner

Our client, an established prep-school sits in the heart of Chelsea and provides a warm, welcoming environment for children aged 6 months through to 11 years old. Children and staff know each other well and this creates a genuine family feel providing a nurturing environment within which our children can learn and develop.

The newly established nursery section provides the vital foundations for a child’s educational journey supporting their early years development whilst engendering a love of learning through an academic curriculum that is specifically tailored for each child. This prepares our children for an effortless transition into pre-prep education and beyond.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the baby room and nursery team in delivering the provision of a 50 week a year, broad based, rich and academically excellent, curriculum for our 6 month to 4 year old children as they prepare for transition to an academic prep school.

You will join the nursery team playing your part in the delivery of a high quality, academically focused early years education whilst providing a safe, nurturing environment within which our children can grow.

Duties

  • Provide high-quality care and education to children aged 6 months to 4 years.
  • Plan and implement EYFS-appropriate activities, ensuring they are stimulating and engaging.
  • Create a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow

  • The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
  • Candidates will be expected to follow our Safer Recruitment processes which includes completion of an application form, undergoing an interview process, and the Company obtaining suitable references and an Enhanced DBS check.
Qualifications, skills and experience
  • Minimum Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification (or other full and relevant Early Years qualification)
  • Previous experience working in a nursery or childcare setting.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for working with children.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and legislation governing childcare (e.g., Safeguarding)
