An established local authority is seeking enthusiastic early years practitioners to join their team across various childcare settings in Angus. Based at various locations throughout Angus.
The hourly rate includes payment for holidays. This is paid as a percentage of your hourly rate for the job and will be separately itemised on your pay slip. Successful applicants will be placed on our casual worker register and engaged to work as and when required depending on service needs.
This job is workstyle 1 - Fixed.
In this workstyle, most of your time is spent undertaking the direct delivery of front-line services work. Depending on your role, there may be a limited requirement to access a specific council location during the course of the working week if you are not delivering your service at a council location.
Angus Council currently operates the following models in their early learning and childcare settings:
ELC settings in models 1 and 2 are open over term-time. ELC Model 3 is different as these settings are open for more hours every day and offer ELC over 46.6 weeks of the year.
We are seeking enthusiastic early years practitioners to work in all of our local authority early learning and childcare settings throughout Angus on an as-required basis. Availability to cover in these settings is important, as this will be required at short notice.
Working within the early level, you will deliver a flexible, high-quality, stimulating education and care-centred service which meets the needs of young children and their families.

Membership of the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) or commitment to gain registration with the SSSC in accordance with their requirements is essential.
You must have the ability to become a member of the PVG Scheme.
