Job summary

Belmont Recruitment is seeking an experienced Early Years Practitioner to join Nottingham City Council's Virtual School's Service on an initial 3-month temporary contract. This full-time role is 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, and based in Nottingham.

You will work with childcare providers, childminders, schools and early years settings to promote inclusive provision, improve school readiness and ensure vulnerable children receive support.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in an Early Years Education setting, preferably within a Virtual School department.
• Experience collaborating with childcare providers, childminders and schools is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support children and families to access early learning that promotes development, wellbeing and school readiness.
• Provide practical advice and guidance to childcare providers, childminders, schools and early years settings.
• Help ensure EYFS requirements and safeguarding responsibilities are met.
• Contribute to improvements in children’s learning, wellbeing and readiness for school.
• Maintain accurate records, collect data and contribute to service planning and improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate support for vulnerable and disadvantaged children, including those with additional needs.

Requirements:

Previous experience of working in an Early Years Education setting, preferably within a Virtual School department.
