Job summary

Connect2Hackney is seeking a Play and Learning Coordinator to lead delivery of high-quality care, education, and stay-and-play activities across community sites and family homes. You will supervise staff, act as a safeguarding lead, and work closely with the Children and Family Hub Partnership to support vulnerable families.

The role requires an NNEB Level 3 qualification or equivalent and solid experience with EYFS, safeguarding, and staff supervision.

Qualifications

NNEB Level 3 qualification or equivalent.
Direct experience with Foundation Stage children, including those with special educational needs.
Strong understanding of early childhood development, EYFS curriculum, and safeguarding procedures.
Proven experience in staff supervision and line management.

Responsibilities

Coordinate and deliver respite services, extended services, creches and stay-and-play sessions in line with EYFS.
Line manage, supervise and conduct annual appraisals for children's practitioners and agency staff.
Plan and deliver high-quality activities tailored to children's needs, including those with neurodivergent or emerging SEND.
Act as Designated / Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead, ensuring safeguarding procedures are maintained.
Collaborate with Children and Family Hub teams, support Team Around the Family meetings and vulnerable family assessments.
Recruit, guide and supervise volunteers to support session delivery.
Monitor and evaluate children's learning and service impact within extended services.
