Job summary

St John's Primary School and Nursery in Kenilworth is seeking an enthusiastic Early Years Learning Support Assistant to join the team. You will support children in EYFS and Nursery, assist with personal care and mealtimes, and help create a warm, secure learning environment.

The role requires a Level 2 childcare qualification, EYFS understanding, and the ability to work collaboratively with parents, staff and stakeholders. Term-time hours with a 37-hour week are included.

Qualifications

• Experience with children in EYFS and/or Nursery.
• Hold a childcare qualification, preferably level 2.
• Excellent understanding of how children learn in a happy, secure setting.
• Able to form excellent relationships with parents, carers, staff and stakeholders.
• Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage.
• Passion for excellence and teamwork.
• Attend to children’s personal needs including mealtimes.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, creative, inspirational and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to jointhe Early Years team in our nursery. As an Early Years Learning Support Assistant, you will:

• Have experience working with children in EYFS and or Nursery
• Hold a childcare qualification, preferably level 2
• An excellent understanding of how children learn best in a happy and secure setting
• The ability to form excellent relationships with parents, carers, staff and stakeholders
• Knowledge and understanding of what makes an outstanding learning environment
• Have a passion for excellence and share our vision
• Are highly motivated and enthusiastic

• Have excellent, up to date knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage
• Attend to children’s personal needs including assisting children’s mealtimes

Contract Type: 5 days a week (37 hours)
Hours of Work: 8.00am until 4.30pm, term time only, plus inset days with the possibility of two weeks in the summer
Contract Term: Fixed Term Contract
Contract Length: ASAP – 31st August 2027
Salary Range: Scale F
