Job summary

E-ACT Greenfield Academy in Bristol is seeking a Nursery Learning Support Assistant on a fixed-term basis to support nursery pupils, creating a safe, nurturing and engaging environment where every child can develop confidence, curiosity, and a love of learning.

You will work with teachers and Early Years staff to deliver play-based activities, support personal care and welfare, and help children develop confidence, curiosity and social skills.

Qualifications

• Good literacy, numeracy, and ICT skills.
• Experience of working with young children in an educational or childcare setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues.
• Good understanding of safeguarding, child development and inclusive practice.

Responsibilities

• Support children’s learning, development and wellbeing within the nursery environment.
• Assist in delivering engaging play-based activities that promote early learning and development.
• Work closely with teachers and Early Years staff to meet individual pupil needs.
• Encourage positive behaviour, social skills and independence.
• Support children with personal care, hygiene and welfare needs where required.
