Job summary

Tir Conaill Football Club is seeking enthusiastic, caring coaches to join our growing children’s programme in the Cambuslang/Rutherglen area. Sessions cater to children aged 18 months to 5 years, offering a safe, fun environment where kids can grow confidence and enjoy football.

Role focuses on imaginative play, developing basic skills, and fostering inclusion. Please note coaching kit is provided and pay is up to £20 per hour depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum SFA Level 1/2 coaching qualification.
• PVG scheme membership for working with children.
• Full UK driving licence.
• First Aid Qualification.

Responsibilities

• Deliver fun, imaginative activities suited to children’s ages and stages of development.
• Help children build coordination, balance, confidence and basic ball skills.
• Create a welcoming environment where every child can participate at their own pace.
• Work positively with parents and carers, involving them where appropriate.
• Prepare equipment and keep sessions safe, organised and engaging.
• Celebrate small achievements and help children leave with a smile.

Tir Conaill Football Club is looking for enthusiastic, caring and reliable coaches to join our growing children’s programme.

Inspired by the connections between Scotland and Donegal, we’re building a community club with high standards and a clear purpose: giving children opportunities and a safe, fun environment to grow, build confidence and enjoy the beautiful game.

For our youngest children, football starts with play. We’re looking for coaches who bring imagination, patience and energy to sessions that children and families look forward to.

What you’ll be doing

• Delivering fun, imaginative activities suited to children’s ages and stages of development.

• Helping children build coordination, balance, confidence and basic ball skills.

• Creating a welcoming environment where every child can participate at their own pace.

• Working positively with parents and carers, involving them where appropriate.

• Preparing equipment and keeping sessions safe, organised and engaging.

• Celebrating small achievements and helping children leave with a smile.

Essential requirements

• Minimum SFA Level 1.2 coaching qualification.

• Valid PVG scheme membership for working with children.

• Full UK driving licence.

• First Aid Qualification

• A warm, patient and enthusiastic approach to working with young children.

• Reliability, clear communication and a commitment to children’s safety and wellbeing.

Experience in early years, childcare, teaching, children’s activities or sports coaching would be valuable.
