Your new opportunity
Quarriers Nursery in Ruchazie is a purpose-built facility, with bright modern rooms, designed around the needs of children from birth to three years. Children, and their needs in the early stages of their development, are at the heart of our service.
The Nursery works in partnership with Glasgow City Council and is based within a busy multi-displinary family centre.
Your role will include but is not limited to;
- Working as part of an Early years team based within the nursery providing high quality Early Learning and Childcare
- You will ensure the wellbeing and education needs of children aged 0-3 years within an early years setting.
- You will be responsible for working as part of a team to plan and implement appropriate curricular activities to suit individual children’s developmental needs and interests.
- You will be responsible for recording and tracking the learning journeys of a key group of children.
- To deliver high quality child care and education to children aged 0-3 years within Scottish Government Early years framework
- Scaffolding the learning and development of children aged 0-3 years
- To encourage positive relationships between parents/carers and children
- Maintain appropriate and accurate records of children’s learning and development, including documenting their attendance.
- To communicate with parents/carers regarding their child’s developmental progress
- To be an active team member within the centre overall
- Participate in policy review
- To work in partnership with other agencies as required.
- Ensure that the nursery and resources and kept clean and in good working order.
- To undertake any other duties or responsibilities commensurate with the post
This is a permanent full time post working 35hours per week.
