A regional governmental organization in Scotland is seeking a part-time Early Years Family Learning Practitioner at Rattray Primary School. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part-time (24 hour), term-time Early Years Family Learning Practitioner to take on the role of family learning and parental engagement within the Blairgowrie community.
This post is based at Rattray Primary School and will include supporting other settings in the Blairgowrie ELC community. This is a fixed term post ending on 31 March 2026.
The earliest years of life are crucial to a child’s development and have a lasting impact on outcomes in health, education and employment opportunities later in life.
Perth & Kinross aim to ensure that all families have access to high quality family learning within the early years which ensures that parents/carer can support their children and equip them to grow up healthy, happy, attaining and achieving.
Family learning encourages family members to learn together, with a focus on intergenerational learning. Family learning activities can also be specifically designed to enable parents to learn how to support their children’s learning.
You should hold an appropriate qualification e.g. SNNEB, NNEB, HNC, SCQF level 7 equivalent or SVQ 3 in Childcare and Education or SVQ 3 Social Services (Children and Young People). Some jobs may have been traditionally carried out predominately by one gender, but we would encourage you to apply if you meet the requirements, irrespective of your gender.
