Job summary

Early Years Alliance seeks an Early Years and Family Educator to deliver high‑quality sessions for children aged 0–5 and their families across Lincolnshire communities. You will plan, run and assess activities supporting early learning, emotional literacy and healthy parenting in collaboration with other professionals.

The role is maternity cover for up to one year, with 25 hours per week and 52 weeks per year, starting soon. Training and development opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Early Years Care and Education or equivalent qualification, or a health and social care degree with relevant early years modules, or Early Years Teacher Status.
• Experience, knowledge and understanding of child development, EYFS and how children learn through play, talk and discovery.
• Proven effective communication skills – able to communicate effectively in person and in writing with professionals and teams.
• Experience of a successful multi‑agency approach with professionals, early help teams, social care teams and other early years settings.
• Knowledge of the aims and ethos of Children’s Centres and safeguarding processes and procedures.

Responsibilities

• To provide high-quality educational and fun sessions for children in their early years and their families to support development, learning and wellbeing.
• To plan, deliver and evaluate sessions and activities to engage parents in their children’s learning.
• To track progress of vulnerable children in partnership with other early years settings.
• To work as part of an integrated early years team to provide seamless support in local communities.
• To support parents to access the Healthy Child Programme and health promotion in collaboration with health services.
