Job summary

Leicestershire County Council is hiring an Early Years Expert at Hand Advisor to support developmentally young children and promote inclusive education. Based at County Hall, you will work with schools and settings, model strategies, and provide guidance to parents and professionals as part of SEND reform.

Qualifications

• Level 6 Early Years qualification with evidence of SEND professional development.
• Excellent communication, listening and relationship-building skills.
• Experience observing and evaluating learning and providing feedback to staff.
• Willingness to travel to appointments and venues.
• Enhanced DBS check (barred list) required.

Responsibilities

• Model strategies and advise settings and schools to support developmentally young children.
• Support schools and childcare sector to develop inclusive provision and curriculum.
• Offer guidance to parents and professionals in meeting SEND needs and signposting to support.
• Keep records as required by Senior SEND Advisors.
• Attend required training, conferences or meetings.
• Possibly travel to various locations.
