Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Warwickshire County Council’s Early Years, Sufficiency & Entitlements Team. We’re looking for a motivated and passionate individual to help deliver and expand funded early education places, particularly in response to the extended entitlements for working parents (Childcare Choices) - What's new? | Childcare Choices

About the role

The role is designed to:

  • Support the expansion and sustainability of funded early education entitlements.
  • Collaborate with Private, Voluntary, and Independent (PVI) providers, childminders, schools (including academies), and out-of-school settings to ensure statutory compliance with early education funding.
  • Assist in monitoring providers to meet the Council’s statutory duties under national early years guidance (Gov.uk). - https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/early-education-and-childcare--2

You’ll work countywide as part of a dedicated team, supporting the Strategy Manager and other Council teams to deliver high-quality early years provision.

Key Responsibilities

  • The successful candidate will engage with current and prospective early years and childcare providers, as well as parents/carers, to support the delivery of funded places.
  • Provide direct advice and support on funding entitlements, including managing claims, payments, and enquiries.
  • Contribute to the development of new initiatives and solutions to improve service delivery.
