Job summary

Sheringham Nursery School & Children's Centre in London is seeking an Early Years Educator (temporary) to join our team for 36 hours per week, term-time only, starting ASAP. The role requires a Level 3 qualification in childcare and EYFS experience in a school or setting.

You will engage with children through our rich curriculum, support learning both indoors and outdoors, and collaborate with families to promote holistic development.

Qualifications

• At least Level 3 qualification in childcare and early education (or equivalent).
• Successful EYFS experience in a school or setting.
• Able to work full-time term-time pattern.

Sheringham Nursery School and Children’s Centre serves a diverse community in Newham, east London. We work in close partnership with parents, families, the local authority and other organisations in the surrounding area. Sheringham is a highly successful Newham Nursery School, rated Outstanding by Ofsted. We have children on roll aged 2, 3 and 4 years old.

We are recruiting for a full-time early years educator with at least a level 3 qualification in childcare and early education (or equivalent), with successful EYFS experience in a school or setting. You might be experienced or newly qualified.

• Do you have a sound understanding of child development, the Early Years Foundation Stage, and a strong commitment to supporting children’s learning through play, inside and outdoors?

• Can you promote the inclusion of children with special educational needs and disabilities?

You will:

• be skilled at listening to children and having conversations with them
• love playing with children and spending time outdoors with them in all weathers
• be able to promote children’s learning through our broad curriculum
• be able to maintain children’s journals to a high standard
• be skilled and confident in working with parents
