Job description

Daytime Healthcare are assisting a STEM Day Nursery to find Early Years Educators to join the team in Cambridge.

Main Purpose of Job:

  • To work as a key person, and member of the nursery team to provide safe, high-quality education and care for young children.
  • To have full regard to the requirements of the Statutory Guidance for the Early Years Foundation Stage.
  • Contribute towards an environment which safeguards children at all times.

Main Responsibilities and Tasks:

  • To work within our Early Years Team, supporting the planning and implementation of activities with individual or groups of children; promoting effective teaching and learning.
  • To be part of our Early Years Team that provides a purposeful, stimulating environment rich in learning opportunities, both indoors and outdoors.
  • To promote the inclusion of all children.
  • To use professional knowledge of the individual and diverse ways that children learn and develop, to meet their differing needs.

Hours:

Monday - Friday 40 hours per week to meet the needs of the rota - most likely working pattern is 4 long days 7.30-18.00 with 1/2 hour unpaid lunch break.

Day off is changeable on a 4 day week option. When working 5 days - hours are usually 8.30-5 pm or 9-5.30pm.

You must have the following:

  • You must have a Level 3 Diploma in Early Years Practitioner or a equivalent relevant qualification in childcare.
