Job Description

We provide a warm and fun setting for children in our care. Multicultural resources are available to raise awareness of inclusion issues and promote anti-discriminatory practices. This helps children appreciate and value each other's similarities and differences, enabling them to learn about our diverse cultural society.

Responsibilities
  1. Work in partnership with colleagues, parents, carers, and other professionals to meet the individual needs of each child in line with company policies and procedures.
  2. Use play to support children in understanding and encouraging healthy life choices.
  3. Identify issues of safeguarding and child protection, ensuring the welfare and safety of children, and report concerns to the designated person.
  4. Engage in self-reflection and utilize professional development opportunities to improve practice.
  5. Undertake tasks related to safety, hygiene, and cleanliness of the setting.
  6. Use knowledge of child development to work with parents and carers to enhance children's outcomes, including those with disabilities and additional needs.
  7. Contribute to planning and organizing activities and experiences that support and extend children's learning in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage.
  8. Communicate and engage with children to support their learning and development.
  9. Maintain accurate records of children's needs, abilities, and progress to inform future planning.
  10. Support the wellbeing of all children, including those with additional needs and disabilities.
  11. Complete the BTEC Level 3 Diploma for Early Years Educators through work-based learning, with support from an appointed Skills Coach.
  12. Utilize 6 hours of off-the-job training weekly to complete work requirements.
  13. Opportunity to complete maths and English qualifications up to Level 2 via online sessions.
  14. Obtain a Paediatric First Aid qualification.
Working Hours

Monday to Friday, 4 days per week. Exact working days and shifts to be confirmed.
