Job description
Overview

As an Early Years Practitioner Apprentice, at Tysoe, you will be working towards the Early Years Educator Level 3 Apprenticeship over the duration of 15-18 months, alongside your daily roles and responsibilities.

Responsibilities
  • To be a proactive member of a staff team who provide a safe, stimulating and inclusive environment in which young children are supported and encouraged to achieve their full potential.
  • To ensure that communication with children, parents and the staff team is polite and courteous at all times.
  • To ensure that clean and hygienic standards are maintained at all times. This includes daily cleaning logs; nappy changing, risk assessments and other nursery/ housekeeping duties.
  • To ensure the nursery on arrival and on leave at the end of the day is neat, tidy and presentable.
  • To offer full and practical support in the day to day running of the nursery.
  • To be able to show willingness to go that extra mile for the well-being of the nursery.
  • To maintain confidentially about all issues related to children and their families; your own other staff members issues and any other management or operational issues
What your apprenticeship includes
  • A mixture of face to face and skype/phone catch ups every 4 - 6 weeks
  • A mixture of on and off the job training, including workshops and webinars
  • Reviews every 12 weeks with the Apprentice, Line Manager and Lifetime Trainer
  • Feedback sessions to discuss progress
  • Obtain Functional Skills in English and Maths (if you don't already have GCSE)
