Early Years Practitioner (Level 2 or Level 3 Qualified)

Location: Leeds
Position: Early Years Practitioner (Level 2 or Level 3 Qualified)
Contract: 3 days a week, Long-Term Contract
Start Date: September
Shifts: 7.5 hours per day

About Us:

As an Early Years Practitioner, you will be responsible for supporting the delivery of high-quality early years education and care. You will work closely with our team to provide an engaging, stimulating, and safe environment for children aged age group, e.g., 0-5 years. You will be expected to plan and implement activities, observe and assess children's progress, and support their development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering engaging and educational activities to support the development of children.

  • Observing, assessing, and documenting children's progress and development.

  • Working as part of a team to ensure the highest standards of care and education are met.

  • Promoting positive behaviour and supporting children's emotional well-being.

  • Maintaining a safe and clean environment for the children.

  • Communicating effectively with parents and carers about children's progress.

  • Adhering to safeguarding policies and procedures at all times.

Essential Criteria:

  • Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years Qualification.

  • Previous experience working with young children in an early years setting.

  • Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and child development.

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • A passion for working with children and helping them reach their full potential.

  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently.

  • Ideally, hold a current Pediatric First Aid qualification (or be willing to obtain one).
