Level 3 qualification in early years

Job description

We are seeking a full-time Early Years Educator. Please only apply if you hold a minimum Level 3 qualification in a UK recognised early years qualification.

This role is for the babies and pre-school rooms, working across 4 days from 7.45am to 6pm.

Responsibilities include working in partnership with the Room Leader to ensure the daily running and administration of the room, delivering flexible, high-quality education and care that meets the needs of young children and their families. You will assist in organising the room to meet the requirements of the specific age group within nursery guidelines and policies.

Ensure compliance with all company policies, Health and Safety legislation, the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, and government requirements as laid down by the Department for Children, Schools and Families, and regulated by OFSTED.

The setting

We are an independent nursery with opportunities to foster and develop staff's innovative ideas. We listen to children and encourage them to think independently. Our playrooms are designed to allow children to test hypotheses, fostering the best learning experiences.

The nursery features three light-filled, welcoming playrooms with natural, open-ended, and reclaimed resources, a large spacious garden, and access to surrounding fields, all contributing positively to children's development and curiosity.

The applicant must be able to:

  • Demonstrate a keen interest in learning and development
  • Ensure high standards of health and safety and promote children's well-being
  • Support the nursery’s vision and create an inclusive environment promoting equal opportunities
  • Promote positive relationships with children and families
  • Communicate effectively and work well as part of a team
  • Be a positive role model to children
  • Have a sense of humour, common sense, and a ‘can do’ attitude
  • Show drive, ambition, and energy
  • Be resilient, persistent, and approach challenges positively
  • Have a passion for forest school and outdoor learning

Benefits include:

  • Paid Christmas close-down period
  • Generous holiday scheme
  • Paid bank holidays
  • Ongoing professional development and training
  • Pension scheme
  • Uniform provided
  • Loyalty bonus after 3 years of service

As the nursery is located in a rural area, own transport is advisable.
