Job description
Overview

An infant school in Horley are looking for a Level 3 Practitioner to join their team. The hours would be 8am to 4pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, with a 20 minute break (onsite) for lunch.

Responsibilities
  • To assist the Pre-school Duty Manager/Manager in providing safe, high-quality education and care for children aged between 2 years and 5 years.
  • To fulfil legal and statutory requirements to contribute to and implement pre-school's policies.
  • To work as part of a team and support colleagues.
  • To offer appropriate stimulation and support to the children through "Best practice and continuous environments"
  • To ensure the safety and well-being of all the children
  • To support participation and inclusion of parents attending the setting
Qualifications
  • Experience of working in a pre-school setting (preferably 1 year)
  • Diploma in Pre-school Practice, NVQ level 3 or equivalent
  • Sound understanding of child development and of children's needs
  • Current Paediatric First Aid, or be willing to attend a course
  • Level 2 Award in Food Safety and Hygiene
  • Attended Safeguarding training and has sound knowledge of child protection and safeguarding requirements or be willing to attend a course
  • Ability to plan and implement a pre-school curriculum alongside the team
