Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Full-time Nursery Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and education to children in our nursery setting. This position requires a strong commitment to nurturing children's development and creating a safe, engaging environment where they can thrive. The Nursery Practitioner will work collaboratively with colleagues and communicate effectively with parents to support each child's individual needs.

Responsibilities
  • Provide attentive and compassionate care for children aged 0-5 years, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
  • Plan and implement engaging activities that promote early childhood education and development, focusing on physical, emotional, social, and cognitive growth.
  • Manage daily nursery operations, including maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the nursery environment.
  • Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging their curiosity and exploration through play-based learning.
  • Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child\'s progress and any concerns that may arise, building strong partnerships with families.
  • Collaborate with team members to create a supportive atmosphere that enhances the overall nursery experience for both children and staff.
  • Maintain accurate records of children\'s development and attendance as required by regulatory standards.
Qualifications
  • Strong background in childcare with relevant qualifications in Early Childhood Education or equivalent experience level 2 or 3 or above.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Experience working with children in a nursery or similar setting is highly desirable.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a calm demeanour in a busy environment.
  • A valid driving licence is advantageous for position due to rural location.
  • An enhanced DBS is required for this position (can be completed).
  • Paediatric First Aid (desirable but not essential as can be completed).
