Job description

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Deputy Manager to join our friendly team at Little Bears Preschool.

In this leadership role, you’ll support the Manager in the day-to-day running of the preschool and delivery of the EYFS. You’ll also act as a key person for a group of children, fostering strong relationships with families and ensuring the highest standards of care and education.

What You'll Do

• Deliver high-quality, play-based learning in line with the EYFS
• Support and lead staff alongside the Manager
• Build partnerships with parents and carers
• Maintain rigorous safeguarding, health, and hygiene standards
• Ensure children can access all areas of the early years curriculum within the setting.
• Contribute to the continuous development of our policies and practices

Essential Criteria

• Level 3 or above in early years education/childcare
• At least 2 years’ experience with children aged 2-5
• Excellent knowledge of EYFS and safeguarding procedures
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• A caring, calm, and collaborative nature

Desirable Criteria

• Food Hygiene Certificate
• Paediatric First Aid qualification
• Previous experience of management level role
