We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Course Leader in Early Years to take the reins of our vibrant FE Early Years programmes for a fixed-term maternity cover (1 year). This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in leading, delivering, and developing high-quality programmes that support the next generation of early years educators.

Job Title: Course Leader in Early Years

About the Role:

  • Leading on the planning, delivery, and quality of FE Early Years programmes
  • Designing and updating engaging schemes of work
  • Teaching a range of units with creativity and enthusiasm
  • Assessing, marking and providing constructive feedback to learners
  • Supporting students through individual tutoring and guidance

Essential Qualifications:

  • Education to degree level or above and/or a professional qualification in relevant subject area or equivalent.
  • Level 5 Teaching Qualification / completing within 3 years of employment or 3 years of the first available course.
  • Minimum of Level 2 qualification in English and Mathematics GCSE 4+ or C and above / CSE Level 1 / O-Level C or above / Level 2 Adult Numeracy or Literacy or equivalent.

Essential Experience:

  • Effective and consistent high-quality teaching experience within Further and/or Higher Education and is able to teach across a range of courses and levels
  • Experience of leading courses and/or curriculum development.
  • Able to demonstrate experience of working with learners with a wide range of needs.
