Job summary

Bright Horizons North Baddesley Day Nursery is seeking a Bank Staff Member to join our team in North Baddesley. This flexible bank/Locum role offers an hourly rate of £12.75 and the security of being an employee with Bright Horizons.

You will support nursery colleagues with EYFS delivery, engage children in educational play, and help maintain high standards of hygiene, safeguarding, and a safe environment while enjoying a varied, rewarding schedule.

Qualifications

• Experience with EYFS delivery is desirable.
• Passion for making learning fun and engaging for each child.
• Ability to use a variety of communication techniques with both children and adults.
• Sound understanding of child protection and safeguarding.
• Flexibility and adaptability in a bank/locum role.

Responsibilities

• Support nursery colleagues with EYFS delivery through engaging, educational play.
• Collaborate with the team to complete day-to-day tasks (hygiene, room prep).
• Promote child welfare, health, safety and safeguarding.
• Help maintain a positive, safe, and happy nursery environment.

What you'll be doing

• Support Nursery colleagues with their delivery of the EYFS, by engaging children in entertaining and educational play and activities, encouraging their development towards key milestones, and ensuring their safety throughout the day
• Work as part of a larger team, to ensure all essential day-to-day tasks are completed in line with nursery demands i.e. hygiene standards and room preparation
• Promote and ensure child welfare, protection, health and safety and safeguarding
• Work with colleagues to maintain a positive, happy and safe environment

What we're looking for

• Previous experience working with children ideal but not essential - such as Nursery Bank Staff, Nursery Assistant, Teaching Assistant, Nanny, Childminder or similar
• Passion for making learning fun and engaging for each child
• Ability to use a variety of communication techniques with both children and adults
• Sound understanding of child protection and the safeguarding of children
• Ability to be flexible and adaptable
