Job summary

Bright Horizons Weybridge Day Nursery and Preschool is seeking a Bank Staff member in Weybridge, Surrey. This flexible role lets you work as bank/locum while enjoying the security of being an employee. You will support EYFS activities, supervise children, and help maintain a safe, stimulating environment across our nurseries.

Nursery: Bright Horizons Weybridge Day Nursery and Preschool

Hourly Rate: £13.45 - £13.66 p/h (dependent on qualification/s and experience) Location: Weybridge, Surrey

What you’ll be doing
  • Support Nursery colleagues with their delivery of the EYFS, by engaging children in entertaining and educational play and activities, encouraging their development towards key milestones
  • Supervise the children throughout the day, ensuring their safety
  • Work as part of a larger team, to ensure all essential day-to-day tasks are completed in line with nursery demands i.e. hygiene standards and room preparation
  • Promote and ensure child welfare, protection, health and safety and safeguarding procedures and policies are followed at all times
  • Work with colleagues to maintain a positive, happy and safe environment on a day-to-day basis
What we’re looking for
  • Previous experience working with children (Nursery Bank Staff, Nursery Assistant, Teaching Assistant, Nanny, Childminder or similar)
  • Passion for making learning fun and engaging for each child
  • Ability to use a variety of techniques to clearly and successfully communicate with both children and adults
  • Sound understanding of child protection and the safeguarding of children
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable – embracing working cultures in different nurseries
  • Have a flexible approach to working hours, supporting nurseries within a pre-agreed radius of your home address
