Job summary

West Dunbartonshire Council is recruiting for a part-time term-time role in Clydebank to support children aged 0–5. The post is fixed term until 09/05/2027 and pro‑rata to hours worked, with shifts 10.50am–2.00pm Mon–Thu and 10.50am–2.10pm Fri.

You will join the Early Years team, supervising lunch periods, carrying out light laundry, and helping maintain a nurturing daily routine. PVG membership is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children aged 0-5 in nursery, pre-school, or early years settings.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Friendly yet firm manner essential for working with young children.
• Ability to work independently and take direction from the Head of Establishment.

Responsibilities

• Supervising children during lunch periods to ensure safety and positive interactions.
• Carrying out laundry duties (e.g., cleaning linens, uniforms, or materials).
• Collaborating with the Early Years team to support the daily routine and create a nurturing environment.
