Job description

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Years Assistant to join our Primary settings. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with young children. As an Early Years Assistant, you will play a crucial role in fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment that supports the holistic development of children aged 0-5 years. Your ability to manage, communicate effectively, and lead activities will be essential in promoting positive learning experiences.


We are currently recruiting for a variety of early years assistant posts from full to part time on a term time temporary contract. You will be matched to a post based on your experience and availability. This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone seeking a new opportunity, wanting to progress into primary early years settings from nursery or looking to develop skills after gaining a recent early years assistant qualification.


To be successful in this post, you will need:

  1. A recognised early years qualification.
  2. Previous early years class experience either in a school or nursery environment.
  3. A childcare reference.
  4. Availability to work a minimum of 3 days per week up to a maximum of 5 days (between Monday - Friday).
  5. Able to work between 8:30am-3:30pm.
  6. Able to support schools or school nurseries and pre-schools located in the Blackpool area.

Duties:

  1. Create and implement engaging educational programmes tailored to the developmental needs of each child.
  2. Manage daily activities, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment for all children.
  3. Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to build strong relationships and support children's learning.
  4. Foster a love of learning through play-based activities that encourage exploration and creativity.
  5. Drive initiatives that promote social skills, emotional well-being, and cognitive development among children.
  6. Maintain a clean, organised learning space.
