Job summary

Footsteps Fradley Nursery is offering an Early Years Apprentice role. You will be trained on the job to become a key person, with a buddy and on-site mentor, and you will attend training days with our training provider.

Working Monday to Friday, shifts to be agreed at offer stage, you will support children's learning, maintain a safe environment, liaise with staff and parents, and participate in planning activities aligned to EYFS.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the statutory EYFS framework and regulatory requirements is desirable.
• Fluent in written and spoken English is essential.
• Passionate about learning and developing into a new role is essential.
• Personal qualities include being passionate about working with children, using initiative, and having a calm, approachable nature.

Responsibilities

• Assist team members in delivering high-quality care and education for children and help manage daily nursery operations.
• Contribute ideas to planning to ensure children receive high-quality learning and development.
• Liaise with nursery staff regarding children's needs and requirements.
• Maintain a safe, clean and healthy environment.
• Adhere to nursery policies and procedures and meet health and safety standards.
• Observe, assess and plan stimulating activities linked to individual learning needs.
