Realise Training is hiring for an Early Years Apprentice Practitioner at Matford Green in Devon. The role runs for 12 months as an apprenticeship, earning £16,640 per year with full-time hours. The successful candidate will gain on-the-job training toward Level 2 Early Years Practitioner qualifications, under Realise training provision.

Shifts are Monday to Friday, around 40 hours weekly, with a focus on safeguarding, care, and education in a high-quality setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide the highest standard of care and education while gaining hands-on experience in a childcare setting.
• Identify and meet each child’s individual needs and supervise them throughout the day.
• Engage in interactive activities such as reading stories, helping at mealtimes, playing games and changing nappies.
• Follow safeguarding procedures and act as a positive role model for staff and parents.

As a Nursery Apprentice, you will be expected to provide the highest standard of care and education while gaining hands‑on experience in a high‑quality childcare setting and working towards recognised childcare qualifications. Training to be Provided

Your full role and responsibilities will be set out by your employer. They will provide you with all of the on‑the‑job training you need to up‑skill in your role, and your 20% off‑the‑job learning will be incorporated as part of your working day.

You will be working towards the Level 2 Early Years Practitioner apprenticeship standard, which includes:

• Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours
• Level 2 Early Years Practitioner Qualification
• Functional skills in Maths and English if required

This will be delivered by your dedicated training provider, Realise.
