Job summary

Childcare Management Company is offering an Early Years Practitioner Modern Apprenticeship in a Glasgow City Centre nursery. You will train on-the-job and earn £8.00 per hour for the first 12 months, with potential pay increases thereafter based on age and government guidelines, plus paid holidays.

You will study to achieve SVQ Level 3 in Social Services, Children and Young People, enabling progression to a fully qualified Early Years Educator.

Qualifications

• National 5 in English preferred or 3x National 4 with English.
• No previous experience required; genuine desire to work with children is essential.
• 100% commitment to achieving the SVQ Level 3.

Responsibilities

• Observe and record children's development.
• Follow policies and procedures.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of the children at all times.
• Create fun-filled learning experiences through play.
• Prepare snacks/lunches for children.
• Undertake personal care of children (toileting/nappy changing).
• Set up resources and playrooms.
