Job summary

Living Heritage Nursery is offering an Early Years Apprentice role based at our Southampton nursery. You will train on the job, supported by a buddy, and work towards the Level 2 Early Years Practitioner apprenticeship standard.

You will gain hands-on experience in care, learning, safeguarding, and partnership with staff and parents, with 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday, and a paid lunch break. The apprenticeship lasts 12 months with training provided by Realise, including off-the-job

Qualifications

• Fluency in written and spoken English.
• Calm, approachable and able to use initiative.

Responsibilities

• Assist team in providing high standards of compliance, care and education for children.
• Contribute ideas to planning to ensure high quality learning.
• Liaise with nursery staff regarding children’s needs and requirements.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and healthy environment.
• Adhere to nursery policies and procedures and health and safety requirements.
